Royalty Reigned.

Today at about 6:03am Eastern time, the mass ceremony, to wed Katherine Middleton and Prince William Duke of Cambridge began. And Jesus Christ, what a beautiful ceremony it was. Call me ridiculous, but I broke night in order to see the wedding broadcast live on almost every channel on T.V, beginning at 4am here on the East Coast. Some may question my interest in the wedding, and to be honest is not so much the importance of this wedding, but rather the historical making moment it brings. I was not alive for Princess Diana's wedding with Prince Charles and obviously that made me part of  a large group of people who missed out on an important day in the history of monarchy and royalty. I didn't want to read about Kate and William's wedding on a text book and have to imagine it, just like any other historical moment I was not alive for. I saw every minute that was available to viewers on television, and it was an experience, even from my couch.

The perfection of timing and etiquette was mind blowing. They said guest will begin arriving at 9:00am (U.K time) and they did, they said that Prince William and Harry would depart to Westminister Abbey at about 10:10am(U.K time), and they did. So on and so forth, the perfection with timing was definitely impressing. The hats began to fill the historic Gothic church and the air filled up with classicism, and royal culture. Every lady in there had a very artistic, architectural traditional hat. Designer Philip Treasy designed most hats laying on the guest today and they were beautiful. One in particular that stood out was that of Dutchess Beatrice, the groom's cousin, in a blush-nude pink hat by Philip Traecy in a morphic shape. Her hat and that of Victoria Beckham's were my two favorite hats. It was so impressing to see, being that it is not part of our traditional wedding gear. When Prince William and brother Prince Harry arrived at the abbey I began to feel it. That's it, it was almost time. Prince William looked absolutely handsome in his grand-looking colonel like ceremonial costume in a bright red, with fitted black trousers and a black hat. As for Kate's anticipated dress, it turned out to be none other than Sara Burton for Alexander McQueen. Kept a secret for months, the ivory & white satin dress with lace sleeves was SPECTACULAR. She looked royal the minute she got off that car.

I was glad to see McQueen in this wedding for both dress changes on Middleton. He deserved a respect of that kind.

It was a lovely wedding, and words are not sufficient to express how inspiring it was. From the beautiful ceremony, perfect timing, the beautiful dress, both kisses, the drive off in the 1969 Astin Martin, perfection!
