Denise Bidot.

I guess it is safe to say Denise Bidot's pictures aren't the only inspiration - but her entire self as a whole. I am in love with the way the industry has turned around the past 5 years or so, opening brand new doors for women of curves. I'm not just saying that because I myself am one, but because women have the opportunity to see the world in another light.

It is essential to understand that imperfections do exist and that sometimes those imperfections are the ones that make us perfect for something else. Bidot is a plus-size model who reminds us, along with Crystal Renn and many others, that beauty and fashion DO exist beyond a size 2.

Skin Deep.

I like to "Explore" throughout people's Flickr accounts, because I'm always in search for things that blow me away and photography seems to have that kind of impression on me - a mind blowing one.

So today I found this one in 'anna morosini's' Flicker, who's soft tones project so much power. I love seeing real people like an elderly women whose old age is reflected through her skin and her wrinkles. This is real life, and I love how photography can make real life beautiful.

An added bonus, the necklace on this women's neck is said to be from the photographer's friend 'Mario Salvucci' and this happens to be one of the models for his jewelry collection. Quite inspirational.

La La La LONDON.

Hey there little fashion ones. So as some of you may already know, London Fashion Week just culminated yesterday and let me tell you I was impressed. There were a lot of contrast in the designs but, fur, black and grays were present. I guess thats the thing I love about the collections I choose as my favorite for the Fall 2011 collections - the accepted "Goth-edge" they have. I love my neutrals, but their is just something about metallics and blacks that make me feel empowered. So here it is my London favorites . . .

Again - make sure you click on the links below the pictures to see more of the designer's collection.

Mr. Bill the Fashion Photographer.

Bill Cunningham is one we speak about when the New York Times is brought up or even better yet when we mention those who've some how contributed to the evolution of fashion photography and the trendy "street fashion". It is absolutely fulfilling to hear that there is finally a recognition even if it is through film, that can introduce to the world his work and to those who've been following it - a chance to keep on admiring him.

A Million Times Sorry.

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiii guys.

I am incredibly sorry for having almost TWO months without any posts. I don't remember if I told any of you but  I went away to my mother's homeland, Dominican Republic for a month. I had the most amazing time EVER! The mountains are still as green and beautiful as I remember them, but now back to reality. And yes you guess it ... FASHION WEEK !!!! New York City was full of celebrities and designers and models and fashionistas, were YOU around? Hmmm. The shows began last week and ended yesterday, and of course I had my favorites . . .

Make sure you click the links below the images so that they can take you to style.com's personal slideshow view of the complete collection of each designer.

1. THE HEART TRUTH'S HEART DISEASE SHOW.

HEART TRUTH FW11 NEW YORK 2/9/2010

I love when we can use fashion to advocate change and help with worldly issues. The yearly show recollects fund to raise awareness on Heart Disease. How awesome is that celebrities get to be part of this by strutting their stuff down the runway, each with a Designer's dress that was selected for them. All dresses in RED - because of heart . . get it? Hahah (I'm a bit corny). Anyways, my favorite dress was an amazing Badgley Mischka worn by reality star Audrina Patridge. Lovely.

So, now that you've seen some of my favorite collections for this upcoming fall, what were yours? Is funny how we choose according to our own style. In each and every one of these 13 collections I saw Black, Metallics, Elegance, Glamour, Shape, "Blasts From The Past", Flowy Fabrics and Empowerment. Characteristics that define the style I have or WISH to have. What we wear defines us, and this fall I will be full of options - I've had too many favorites . . . & CANNOT WAIT FOR PARIS FASHION WEEK (Elie Saab *cough cough*).

So Please, pretty please with a cherry on top - who were YOUR favorites?
