Chanel 2.55 a la Beef, Please?

I came up this very peculiar, I guess you can call it, article. So this design student named Nancy Wu created a Chanel 2.55 handbag, which we all love ENTIRELY...100% OUT OF BEEF JERKY!!! How crazy is that??!! She must be pretty talented because she even did the quilted pattern and kept the signature linked-chain strap and the interlocking 'C', Chanel logo.

I wondered if she was inspired by Lady Gaga's MTV Music Video Awards 2010 where she wore a MEAT DRESS. Remember that one?

Either way, I thought it was quite different and quite creative if you ask me. Next time you go on a long trip bring your "Beef Jerky Chanel" and if you get hungry take a bite of the corner of it. Hahah.

Meet, Mr. "Boy" Chanel.

So we all know that the genius Coco Chanel was known for her boy-ish style, and making it acceptable for women to wear. Well, Dr. Lagerfeld (as I now call him), like the genius he is, designed a new line of Chanel bags that convey Coco's style.

“Chanel used men’s underwear to make dresses; she had this boyish attitude, in fact it is the very spirit of Chanel. She got it from Boy Capel, the great love of her life, which, incidentally, explains why the new bag is called the Boy Chanel,” -- Karl Lagerfeld.

The beautiful calfskin bags are to be in Chanel boutiques this September 2011, ranging in prices from $2,500-$4,300. Not expensive at all, huh? (SIKE).

I absolutely love them and they manage to have a balance between vintage and modern. Very clean-cut and boxy, but very Coco Chanel circa 1920s. My favorites are the white and the large black. Do you love them??

Intermix Summer Fun.

Bye, Oprah.

Oprah Winfrey's last show was yesterday, and though it was a sad day for television and all those Oprah lovers, I just couldn't stop staring at her L'Wren Scott dress, which I loved on her.

It was obviously customized and different than the dress on the Spring 2011 runway, in order to flatter her body. In my opinion the customization was done FANTASTICALLY. I loved the 3/4 length sleeves as opposed to the sleeveless runway version, but I must say I just loved loved loved the ombre chiffon belt. It looked like layers tassels and whenever she walked they just flowed so beautifully. And of course the nude, blush pink is one of my favorite Spring/Summer colors and it flattered her skin tone perfectly. I just absolutely loved the dress on her!

We'll miss you Oprah.

RESORT 2012.

I always love Resort collections because the designers unleash the flowy, the floral, the prints, the bold and the colors. I also love them because I always find a reason to think of myself wearing the clothes, and I love that designers tone it down in such a refreshing way. It is almost mind blowing to see how a trip, or an art exhibit, or a person can bring them so much joy that they get inspired to create something totally different from their Fall and Spring collections, they give us their vacation joy in their wardrobe and that's so sweet and personal. When I choose my favorites I want you guys to know that I look at the look as a whole because I am always interested in the way designers choose to put their clothing together. I have to imagine it as some sort of editorial spread; I'm a visionary. I'm attracted to things I see and I try to imagine them bigger than they are. So if I chose a look, is because I imagined a world around it. Here are some of my 2012 resort favorites:
