Hiiiiiiiiiiiiii guys.
I am incredibly sorry for having almost TWO months without any posts. I don't remember if I told any of you but I went away to my mother's homeland, Dominican Republic for a month. I had the most amazing time EVER! The mountains are still as green and beautiful as I remember them, but now back to reality. And yes you guess it ... FASHION WEEK !!!! New York City was full of celebrities and designers and models and fashionistas, were YOU around? Hmmm. The shows began last week and ended yesterday, and of course I had my favorites . . .
Make sure you click the links below the images so that they can take you to style.com's personal slideshow view of the complete collection of each designer.
1. THE HEART TRUTH'S HEART DISEASE SHOW.
I love when we can use fashion to advocate change and help with worldly issues. The yearly show recollects fund to raise awareness on Heart Disease. How awesome is that celebrities get to be part of this by strutting their stuff down the runway, each with a Designer's dress that was selected for them. All dresses in RED - because of heart . . get it? Hahah (I'm a bit corny). Anyways, my favorite dress was an amazing Badgley Mischka worn by reality star Audrina Patridge. Lovely.
2. NAEEM KHAN.
3. BADGLEY MISCHKA
4. L'WREN SCOTT.
5. JASON WU.
6. MARCHESA.
7. PRABAL GURUNG.
8. RODARTE.
9. VICTORIA BECKHAM.
10. VERA WANG.
11. RALPH LAUREN.
12. OSCAR DE LA RENTA.
13. DONNA KARAN.
So, now that you've seen some of my favorite collections for this upcoming fall, what were yours? Is funny how we choose according to our own style. In each and every one of these 13 collections I saw Black, Metallics, Elegance, Glamour, Shape, "Blasts From The Past", Flowy Fabrics and Empowerment. Characteristics that define the style I have or WISH to have. What we wear defines us, and this fall I will be full of options - I've had too many favorites . . . & CANNOT WAIT FOR PARIS FASHION WEEK (Elie Saab *cough cough*).
So Please, pretty please with a cherry on top - who were YOUR favorites?
